Town of Talking Rock is accepting applications for Town Clerk, a part time position. 15 to 20 hours required a month. Pay will be base on qualifications.
Duties included but not limited to the following:
-Attend all public meeting and regular council meeting held on first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM
-Documenting council meeting including preparation of agenda’s and recording minutes.
-Documenting and publishing ordinances and resolutions
-Retaining and managing public records including handling of open records requests
-Financial duties collection and documenting of Town funds, paying invoices via Quick Books
-Handling of park reservations
Drop off resumes in the mail slot at Town Hall 4675 Highway 136 West Talking Rock GA. By 5:00 PM Friday April 26, 2019 resumes shall be in a sealed envelope marked Town Clerk resume.
Interviews will be held at the regular council meeting Thursday May 2, 2019 at 6:30 PM.
The Town of Talking Rock is accepting bids for Town Maintenance. The details of scope of work can be picked up at Town Hall, 4675 Highway 136 West, Talking Rock, GA in the information box to the right of entrance door.
Bids are to be dropped off at Town Hall in Mail slot in entrance door by 5:00 pm Friday April 26, 2019. Envelopes are to be sealed and marked Town Maintenance Bid. Bids will be opened at regular council meeting Thursday May 2, 2019 at 6:30 pm.
Heritage Days Festival is held on the third full weekend in October and is the highlight of the year in Talking Rock. Vendors from around the state join with shop owners for a 2-day festival, that includes food, fun and music.
